Today Digital Alberta announced that a student learning portal Habanero created with the Calgary Board of Education (CBE) is a finalist in the 2013 Digital Alberta Awards. The entry is in the Best in E-Learning category, which recognizes unique interactive learning experiences.
CBE’s member portal, Iris, has helped CBE fulfill their vision of personalized learning and increased interaction between students and teachers.
Recognition for the solution’s innovative use of technology to promote learning is growing. Earlier this month Iris took top spot for Innovation at the Toronto SharePoint Summit.
The Digital Alberta Awards recognizes leaders in innovation, creativity, and the evolving digital media sector in Alberta. In 2011 the Servus Credit Union external website built by Habanero won the Digital Alberta Awards "Best in Financial Services Award".
