Habanero Consulting Group has redeveloped its extranet to make it faster and easier for clients to use. Based on client research and user experience knowledge gained since the extranet's original launch in March 2007, the portal will further enhance communication and collaboration between Habanero, clients, and partners.
Moving all of the content from the old to the new extranet could have been a long and tedious process involving hundreds of hours of time. However, Habanero expedited the process by using Metalogix SharePoint Site Migration Manager to facilitate the migration of legacy content. In addition to moving the content, SharePoint Migration Manager allowed for historical file versions and properties to be easily moved.
Built on MOSS 2007, the extranet helps team members in disparate locations collaborate and stay up-to-date on their projects. Within the portal, users have the ability to collaborate on documents, track bugs and issues, view billing information, and confirm project status. With access to community-based features, portal users can also access Habanero team member information such as phone numbers, biographical data, and photographs.
