Habanero is pleased to announce the launch of the British Columbia Transmission Corporation's new website, www.bctc.com. Using Microsoft's Content Management Server (MCMS) 2002 to build the new site, Habanero worked with BCTC to develop a new information architecture, user interface, and content management functionality that significantly improved the overall end-user experience.
The original Web site, designed to meet the immediate communications needs that arose when the organization was first launched in 2003, drew its content primarily from relevant sections of the BC Hydro website. Content was often copied directly, and simply wrapped in the new BCTC branding. As the site became outdated and the effort required to maintain it increased, BCTC turned to Habanero to help fulfil its communication mandate.
As BCTC's agency of record for providing services that support web-based communications, Habanero conducted an analysis of BCTC's content management requirements and recommended BCTC use MCMS to develop its public web site.
