Enbridge’s ELink employee portal is one of the winners of Nielsen Norman Group's 10 Best Intranets of 2016 award. Habanero led the information architecture, user experience research, and technical development of this SharePoint 2013 employee portal.

Habanero helped this upgrade project get off to the right start with a user experience assessment, analytics review, stakeholder interviews, and visioning exercises. Habanero team members led the implementation, content migration, permissions model architecture, and quality assurance testing.
The ELink project included an upgrade to SharePoint 2013 from SharePoint 2010, custom audience targeting of content, and a revamped user experience to support the company’s revised brand. More than 7,000 pieces of content were migrated during this upgrade engagement. In using as many out-of-the-box SharePoint capabilities as possible, Enbridge reduced the amount of custom code in the solution. Customizations were focused on the highest value features and leveraged Responsible Development techniques to reduce the amount of support and maintenance resources ELink requires--including a 67 percent reduction in the lines of custom code in the solution and 39 fewer Web Parts.
