Habanero provides free bike tune-ups for Bike to Work Week

Habanero offered free bike tune-ups to downtown Vancouver cyclists in preparation for Bike to Work Week.

Steven Fitzgerald, president, and Mark Yip, technical analyst, set a space to tune-up bikes in front of the main entrance to Habanero’s Vancouver office at 1111 Melville Street. The tune-ups were available from Tuesday to Wednesday, and a steady stream of bicycles kept the repair team busy for most of the afternoon.

This is the second year in a row that Habanero has provided free tune-ups to Vancouver riders during Bike to Work Week.

“I'm so happy to do this again,” said Steven. “We're big supporters of people riding their bike to work. It's great exercise and great for the community.”

Bike to Work Week is supported by local cycling advocacy group HUB. The event is all about growing the amount of bike traffic in Vancouver and raising awareness of the health and environmental benefits of cycling. Bike to Work Week Vancouver runs from May 26 to 31.
